Tip of the week: Plan ahead (way ahead)

During a play date last week my friend (and co-crazy party planner)
Vanessa said, "Ok, Colin's birthday is exactly 6 months away. We have to start planning!" Most people think that that sounds crazy. I do it and admit that it sounds crazy, but planning ahead is the best way to do a great party on a budget.

You don't have to plan everything but at least come up with a theme early, especially for parties that have a set date that you know well in advance, like a birthday party. Coming up with a theme early allows you to leisurely search for the perfect items and to get deals rather than waiting to the last minute and just buying everything matchy-matcy on aisle 9 of Party City!

Of course, if this doesn't not sound like your cup of tea, let me do it! The Paper Gal is also a party gal and can help you plan your party from beginning to end!
